One-round discrete Voronoi game, with the users on a line, can be computed in $O(n^)$ time, where $0< \lambda_m < 1$, is a constant depending only on $m$. We then prove that for $m \geq 2$ the optimal strategy of P1 in the We show that if the sorted order of the points in $\mathcal U$ along the line is known, then the optimal strategy of P2, given any placement of facilities by P1, can be computed in $O(n)$ time. In this paper, we address the case where the points in $\mathcal U$ are located along a line. The objective of both the players in the game is to maximize their respective payoffs. The payoff of P2 is defined as the cardinality of the set of points in $\mathcal U$ which are closer to a facility in $\mathcal F_2$ than to every facility in $\mathcal F_1$, and the payoff of P1 is the difference between the number of users in $\mathcal U$ and the payoff of P2. At first, P1 chooses a set $\mathcal F_1$ of $m$ facilities following which P2 chooses another set $\mathcal F_2$ of $m$ facilities, disjoint from $\mathcal F_1$, where $m(=O(1))$ is a positive constant. Those will do for starters. The one-round discrete Voronoi game, with respect to a $n$-point user set $\mathcal U$,Ĭonsists of two players Player 1 (P1) and Player 2 (P2). It’s so annoying having to start a whole new game every time I open the app. It’s a waste of memory that I need for whatever other functions and apps I’m using. I don’t often have time for 5 maps at once, but I don’t like leaving an app open but unused. Too often it ‘sticks’ to my fingertip while I’m moving it and instead of moving the map, for example, it zooms in and out, and the only way to unstick it is to tap, which sets down a guess marker, then problem 2 kicks in.Ĥ) Add a ‘Save game’ option. I get fed up with games being cut short because I brush over the button accidentally.ģ) Get rid of the bug that causes the screen to lock onto one finger. And have a ‘confirm guess’ option for safety. Build us up to achieve, don’t put us off with near-impossible tasks from the start!Ģ) Put the ‘Guess’ button anywhere but bottom left (or centre)! It’s far too easy to accidentally tap it without realising. You play home to start with, them unlock all the others one by one, until there’s only the world left. It should be the ultimate achievement to unlock the world map. Here are my suggestions for improvements (aimed at the developer, obvs).ġ) The first set of maps should be the player’s home country, not the world. It’s fascinating, but it needs work to improve it. Pretty decent, but still a work in progress Wish I could get back to the photo in front of Jardin des Plantes-do not see it somehow-if that is the Rue Buffon it has gone Downhill -admittedly it could be in one of the many shabby backstreets because Paris is woefully inadequate at guillotining graffiti vandals ! I LOVE this game ! I have only just discovered it but immediately reccommended it to my husband BUT please, please, please, please ,please put in a go back button ! So that we can look back ! I keep thinking my guess will be rubbish, put my blue flash elsewhere only to discover I was very near indeed PLUS sometimes I am ‘surprised by joy at how beautiful a place was and I want to go back to have another look Also I dash headlong through to get rid of the USA because if I guess correctly it is the USA I think it jolly mean how few points I get, just because it is a few thousand kilometres away whereas I feel cleverer for knowing it was somewhere in the USA than confusing Southern Poland with Northern Germany ! Still,I do want to say thank you and I cannot wait to get new places Ruined by a featureless obscured pine forest that looks like Russia but is in fact northern Canada. I get one place within 3m thanks to clever reasoning, road signs, geography, even a tourist map. when I want to start a game and I’m confronted with the desert of central Mexico with rusted buildings and no signs for miles I just give up. ![]() You need coins to unlock the other maps which is fair but I don’t see why the world map was the first when it’s very clearly going to be the most difficult one. More often than not you get dropped onto a hundreds of kilometres long straight road in the central US, Brazilian rainforest, or Siberian tundra without any reasonable way to work out where you are. THE FIRST MAP SHOULDNT BE THE WHOLE WORLD. If you like this on the web browser then you’ll love it here it is a really really good game and works very well in app form. This is a great translation over to the app.
